Ochocinco, Liddell Talk Naked Reebok Ads With Jimmy Kimmel (VIDEO)
Chuck Liddell, Chad Ochocinco and Dax Shepard, all naked stars of recent viral Reebok ads, visited Jimmy Kimmel last night to discuss the campaign. Interestingly, Chuck Liddell was actually naked for his video, while Ochocinco wore a small cover -- although he certainly looks nude.
Liddell told Kimmel that it took some time to convince his girlfriend to participate in the naked ad.

Giannoulias, Kirk, and Broadway Bank
While we try to sort through the facts about Broadway Bank, let's not forget the most important fact of all: Unless it turns out that Alexi Giannoulias did anything illegal--and no one is alleging that he did--Broadway Bank is among the least important issues in this campaign.
If Broadway Bank was the only difference between Giannoulias and Mark Kirk, it might deserve the attention it's getting. But we're electing a U.S. Senator, not a bank officer. Rather than second-guess lending decisions Giannoulias made before he entered public service, we should focus on votes and policy positions that bear on who will best represent our views in the Senate.

Move Our Money: Why Universities Should Join the Movement
How much money do you have in the bank? Whether it's $1,000 or $1 million, those deposits cumulatively have a big impact on the local economy, and even more so if you put them in a local bank or credit union. That's the whole idea behind the Move Your Money campaign: taking your money out of the big banks, and putting into a local bank or credit union, can impact your local economy.
Big banks may take the money that is deposited and lend it to major corporations doing things like mountaintop removal coal mining and use it to make risky investments in derivatives, while at the same time charging high fees on credit cards and making predatory loans to low-income people.

Size Doesn’t Matter: Missing The Point Of ISAF’s Failure In Marja
Gareth Porter has an excellent piece up on IPS, "Fiction of Marja as City Was U.S. Information War," in which he breaks down the media disinformation campaign on the size of Marja:
Marja is not a city or even a real town, but either a few clusters of farmers' homes or a large agricultural area covering much of the southern Helmand River Valley.

We Can’t Blow This
Note: While I'm consulting to the nonpartisan reform groups Public Campaign Action Fund and Common Cause to advance comprehensive campaign finance reform, these words are my own.
Let's remind ourselves that we're in charge of the train wreck that has stalled the important work of Congress. With large Democratic majorities in the House and Senate, voters clearly understand that we're driving the train.
