Roy Sekoff: Michele Bachmann Saying Idiotic Things Is like A Law of Nature (VIDEO)
Huffington Post editor Roy Sekoff appeared on “The Ed Show” Wednesday to discuss recent comments from Rep. Michele Bachmann.
This past weekend, the Minnesota Republican told a crowd in Duluth, Minn. that there is no evidence that black lawmakers were harassed by tea party protesters as they marched to the House before the health care vote. Bachmann said there is no evidence that civil rights leader and South Carolina Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) was called “nigger.” And despite video of the incident, Bachmann denied a protester spat upon Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO).

Roy Sekoff on Fox News: A Giant Can Of Gas Waiting For A Match (VIDEO)
Huffington Post editor Roy Sekoff appeared on “The Ed Show” Thursday evening to weigh in on recent threats of violence against elected officials and conservative media’s role in those threats.
Sekoff believes that by ratcheting up the violent rhetoric and imagery, Fox News risks inciting real violence. Fox is like “a giant can of gas waiting for a match,” Sekoff argued. “You go over to Fox and it’s like a Chinese water torture of fearmongering, with a drip, drip, drip, of nazism and race baiting… and all this kind of stuff. So, I think those kinds of things are seeping into the body politic.”

Roy Sekoff: The Right Has Decided To Double Down On The Crazy (VIDEO)
HuffPost editor Roy Sekoff appeared on “The Ed Show” Wednesday evening to talk about the Republican Party’s political tactics.
Rather than learning from their defeat on health care reform and course-correcting, Sekoff argued that the GOP has doubled down on the crazy–and their divisive strategy. “I mean we saw from the very beginning, their playbook on health care has been two things. It’s been fear-mongering and untruths. And this attack on Representative Dingell is the perfect blend of both of these things. It’s this crazy fear-mongering that they want to take over your health care, they want to take over your government. It’s the socialism… they have not learned the lesson of their defeat and course corrected. Instead, they’re going all in.”
